Our beef stew meat is cubes of beef cut from the front and back legs of the steer. The meat is uniformly sized and full of all the nutrients that our animals get from eating grass all year round. The beef that gets cut into stew meat is on the more tough side in terms of raw meat. However, all that it needs to become nice and tender is a long slow cook. We recommend keeping a pack of stew meat in the freezer for whenever you’re craving a nice beef soup, stew, or chili. We like to cook ours all day in a slow cooker - minimal effort for incredible, nutritious reward!
Each package of McElroy Farms beef stew meat weighs a pound which is enough for two to three servings of soup or stew. We recommend getting two to three packages for any standard recipe.
