Beef liver is one of the most iron-rich foods. Our beef liver is clean and nutritious, not to mention very tasty. 

The strong flavor of beef liver can be a bit much for some people. We recommend soaking the liver overnight in buttermilk, milk, or even a saltwater brine to make the flavor more mild. After soaking, the liver is best when cut into slices and pan fried or sautéed. The key to successfully cooking liver is to make sure that it is not overcooked. Aim for an internal temperature around 145°.

Each package of McElroy Farms beef liver weighs just over a pound which is enough for two to three servings.
